First United Methodist Church
42 Cross Road, Stamford, CT 06905
In honor of “World AIDS Day”, we will be gathering once again with the community of Stamford at the First United Methodist Church at 7:00pm. The New World Chorus will join several other choirs and performers as well as clergy of many faiths and backgrounds, to bring healing, compassion, hope and honor to all impacted by AIDS. All are welcome to be blessed by this powerful and inspiring interfaith service.
The New World Chorus and Carriage House Studios join forces again to create a memorable holiday experience around Stamford. The chorus and local singers come together to spread the spirit of the holidays! As an interfaith Choir, the New World Chorus will sing Christmas and Chanukah songs as they roam around the town of Stamford. It is always a wonderful feeling to see the faces of children light up as we show up and sing by surprise!! Performances will include the Stamford Mall, the Ferguson Library, the Palace Theater as the Nutcracker lets out and most importantly, the choir will visit several assisted living locations as well as shelters.
“Street Angels” began in 1994 led by Dianne Gunnip (of Stamford’s well known original band “Sister Sun”). We are honored to continue the tradition by bringing love and joy especially to those who need it most.
