Please join our community for this beautiful and transformative spiritual experience as we welcome in the Shabbat with music, meditation and prayer. The “Shabbat Experience” takes us on a journey as we become present to the magnificence of creation and all we have contributed throughout the week.
In honor of PRIDE month, this special “Kabbalat Shabbat” will celebrate the LGBT community, acknowledging the extraordinary courage and unwavering stand exhibited for civil rights and freedom for all. All are welcome to join – family, friends, neighbors and supporters, for this beautiful service in the round. The Shabbat Experience is hosted by Temple Sinai with Rabbi Jay TelRav and Cantor Micah Morgovsky, as well as leadership from the LGBT community.
Created by composer/music director Beth Styles, the service will include the New World Chorus & Temple Sinai Choir (“Kolot Sinai”). Dressed in all white and surrounded by candlelit votives, the angelic voices will lift us up and inspire.
People from all backgrounds and faith traditions are invited to attend! We also invite guests to wear white – though it is not a requirement.
Also in honor of this occasion, Temple Sinai will be hosting a wonderful Pride Social Dinner prior to The Shabbat Experience. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet each other before the service for good conversation, friendship and Shabbat dinner.
1. Pride Social Dinner begins at 6:15pm| Cost: $18.00
2. The Shabbat Experience begins at 7:30pm| Open to all – FREE.
